This Victorian style bed and breakfast is located in the heart of North Halsted's exciting and diverse shopping and entertainment area. Situated in close proximity to Wrigley Field, the Villa Toscana is also a favorite with many baseball fans. Guests will find an exciting nightlife, the beautiful lakefront, a thriving theater district, shopping, and an extensive variety of ethnic restaurants nearby. The Villa Toscana, built in the 1890's, has been newly renovated and is nestled in the back of the lot with a beautifully landscaped front yard, where guests can relax and entertain. A continental breakfast is served each morning. Guests can choose to enjoy their breakfast in the dining room or out on the sundeck. The house is complemented with a wonderful eclectic decor. Relax in front of the wood-burning fireplace on cold winter nights or enjoy central air conditioning on those hot summer days. Enjoy the old-world charm of the Villa Toscana, the perfect alternative to a traditional hotel.
Each beautiful room is dressed with cotton linens, down comforters and pillows. All rooms feature color cable televisions, direct-dial telephone with voice mail, air conditioning, hair dryer, wireless Internet access, iron/ironing board, microwave, and refrigerator.

Chicago offers visitors so much to experience, it's hard to know where to begin. It is home to some of the finest museums in the world. Visitors can view the expanse of the city from the John Hancock Observatory or the Sears Tower Skydeck. For fun and excitement, head to the Navy Pier to experience the Amazing Chicago Funhouse Maze, the giant Ferris wheel and fireworks every Wednesday and Saturday night all summer long, the Children's Museum, Crystal Gardens Ballroom, musical carousel, the concerts at the Skyline Stage, and the Shakespeare Theater. Enjoy the skyline of Chicago on one of the many types of cruises which leave from the Navy Pier and the unique restaurants, shops and entertainment on the pier. Chicago is also well known for its nightlife and entertainment. The Chicago Symphony Orchestra offers world-class classical music. The performances of the Lyric Opera of Chicago and Joffrey Ballet are also world-renowned. Chicago has long been known for its blues and jazz clubs. Nightclubs are plentiful all over town but especially along Halsted Street (close to the Villa Toscana), Lincoln Avenue and Clark Street on the North Side. Chicago is home to many theater companies, such as the Steppenwolf Theatre and Goodman Theatre. Several grand theaters in the Loop offer a variety of plays and musicals. Chicago is one of the best US cities for watching professional sports. Catch a Chicago Cubs game at the venerable Wrigley Field. (The Villa Toscana is the closest accommodation to Wrigley Field.) Enjoy watching the White Sox play at Comiskey Field, the Bears at Soldier Field, or a Chicago Bulls basketball game or a Blackhawk's hockey game at the United Center. Discover the architectural wonders in the city on Chicago River and Lake cruises, bus tours, or on foot. Explore Grant Park, a green oasis in Chicago since 1847. Since 1927 residents and visitors have enjoyed the spectacular Buckingham Fountain in the park. The newest addition to Grant Park is the fabulous Millenium Park at the north end. Located on 24.5 acres, it is unprecedented in its vision as a center for art, music, architecture, and landscape design. There are many special events events in Chicago all year long but a few annual summer favorites are the Taste of Chicago in Grant Park, the Chicago Blues Festival, Chicago Air & Water Show, and Venetian Night. |

Follow the signs for Lake Shore Drive North. Take Lake Shore Drive to Belmont Avenue and exit on the right. Turn left on Belmont and continue to Halsted Street (3rd stoplight). Turn right on Halsted. Villa Toscana is on right past Roscoe Street, before the intersection of Halsted and Cornelia. |
